What the LED base actually is

The Nanoblock LED base is a flat platform with embedded LEDs that illuminate upward through the base of whatever model is sitting on it. Most standard Nanoblock models have a flat bottom layer that sits directly on the base, and the light diffuses through the lower blocks and gives the whole structure a faint, even glow. The effect is subtle — it's not a dramatic spotlight, it's more like the difference between a photograph taken in flat light and one taken with professional lighting. Which models benefit most

Models with a mix of colors in the lower section benefit most visibly, because the light picks up and amplifies the color variation.
